Our Story
Have you ever met a bandage you actually liked?

We hadn’t.
As moms, we were constantly reaching for bandages — and constantly annoyed by them. They’d peel off after one hand wash. They’d leave red marks. They’d barely protect the wound. We’d replace them over and over again and think… how has no one fixed this yet?
Then something happened that changed everything.
We were in Korea when Jihye’s daughter took a pretty bad fall (big gash on her face). The kind where you panic first and assess later. We treated her scrape with a Korean moist hydrocolloid bandage.
And we watched.
Instead of drying out and forming that thick, angry scab we were used to seeing, her skin healed in a way that honestly surprised us. It looked calm. Protected. Supported. It just… healed better.
We looked at each other and said,
“Wait. Why aren’t we using this at home?”
That was the moment.
We started researching hydrocolloid technology and quickly realized something: while skincare had evolved, first aid really hadn’t. The U.S. bandage aisle looked almost exactly the same as it did decades ago.
So we started imagining what first aid could look like if we approached it the way K-beauty approaches skincare — with innovation, intention, and respect for the skin barrier.
We tested samples.
We adjusted sizes.
We obsessed over adhesion and flexibility.
We designed something we would actually want in our own homes, gym bags, and mom bags.
And that’s how SUPERBAND was born.
Not just as a better bandage — but as our small way of reimagining a category that felt stuck.
We’re bringing the innovation (and honestly, the joy) of K-beauty into first aid.
If you’ve ever been frustrated by a basic bandage, you’re in the right place.
We’re just getting started, and we’re so glad you’re here.
Sincerely,
Jihye & Jimin
