FAQs for SUPERBAND
What is hydrocolloid and how does it work?
Hydrocolloid is a moisture-retentive wound dressing material that creates a sealed, moist healing environment. It contains gel-forming agents that absorb fluid from your wound while preventing it from drying out — allowing your body's natural healing processes to work faster and with less scarring. Do wounds heal faster moist or dry?
Moist. Decades of research confirm that a moist wound environment heals faster, hurts less, and leaves less scarring than letting a wound dry out or scab over. This is exactly why hydrocolloid bandages like SUPERBAND outperform traditional bandages. Read the science behind moist wound healing →
Can I use SUPERBAND on different types of wounds?

How do I apply SUPERBAND?
1. Clean and completely dry the wound.
2. Cut SUPERBAND to a size slightly larger than the wound.
3. Peel the backing and press gently onto skin.
4. Leave on until it begins to lift naturally or starts leaking at the edges.
How long should I leave SUPERBAND on?
Typically 1–3 days depending on wound fluid. Change it when the dressing turns white/yellow and starts to peel at the edges — that means it's reached its absorption capacity. Never leave a saturated bandage on.
What is the white or yellow stuff under the bandage?
It's a gel formed when the hydrocolloid absorbs wound fluid — completely normal and a sign the bandage is working. It is not pus or infection. Read the full explanation →

How do I remove SUPERBAND?
Gently lift the corners up and away from the skin — never pull straight up. If it feels stuck, use warm water to soften the edges before peeling.
Can SUPERBAND be used on infected wounds?
No. Do not use hydrocolloid bandages on infected wounds. Signs of infection include increasing redness, warmth, swelling, or pus. If you suspect infection, consult a doctor before applying any dressing.
How does SUPERBAND compare to traditional bandages?
Traditional bandages dry out wounds and encourage scabbing, which increases healing time and scarring risk. SUPERBAND seals the wound, absorbs fluid, and maintains the ideal healing environment. It also stays on far longer. Full comparison →
